There is total of six camera in Amazon smartphone. First one is primary camera of 13 MP and second one is a standard front camera of 2 MP. Other four camera are used to facilitate software’s 3D effects.
These four cameras are low powered infra-red cameras. They detect gestures of user face and eyes in relation to phone’s display to estimate the real 3D environment. By these gestures of four front cameras, Amazon software do adjustments to the on-screen elements.
It is also coming in notice that Amazon software will scroll the lock wallpapers on tilt. If you tilt the phone up, down or sideways it will change the wallpapers with perspectives of respective tilt. Amazon will give 3D look to icons and other core elements of interface. 3D look will be applicable to Amazon stores like book store, Music Store and Digital market. If you change the angle or position of smartphone, you will be able to see products in 3D at different angles and also able to reveal surfaces that cannot be seen in 2D photos.
According to Techieoasis, many major and core apps of android will support the 3D interface. They will show things in 3D. But some can’t. That’s why Amazon is recruiting big developers from outside. This is done to have sufficient number of third party apps that take advantage of 3D interface.
Amazon is going to make a set of APIs available to third parties and it will also assist them with development in other ways. There is total of 3 set of API for third parties - High Level, Mid-Level and Low Level. Mid-level API will translate Fire OS calls to Android calls and low-level API will allow developers to leverage the device's 3D capabilities.
Comparison with HTC one M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5
Amazon’s handset screen size is smaller than HTC one M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
Amazon smartphone will be having low HD resolution of 720p while HTC one M8 and Samsung S5 is having a HD resolution of 1080p.
HTC one M8 is having 3 cameras and Amazon smartphone is having 6 cameras.
HTC and Samsung have android OS, but it will have heavily customized OS.
Comparison with upcoming IPhone 6
In terms of screen size, both Amazon smartphone and iPhone 6 will be having same screen size.
Both will be having 3D interface, but till now according to technology used amazon smartphone 3D interface should be more accurate.
