Ever heard of
Nokia 1100? Yes the legendary phone from Nokia that was launched over a decade
ago and changed the way world looked at mobile phones. After over a decade most
would think that this phone would have fizzled out and become less popular.
Well, you are in for a surprise!
Nokia 1100
has been recently spotted on the Geekbench 3 and this phone has been rumoured
to be given a reboot! Yes the Nokia 1100 is back! The Nokia 1100's
Geekbench benchmark results demonstrate the handset which runs Android 5.0Lollipop and includes a quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor. The Nokia 1100
handset is seen featuring 512MB of RAM. Aside from the Android Lollipop,
processor, and memory, there are some other details that have been shared on
the website.
With the design and build
factor of the first Nokia 1100, it is hard to accept that the Finnish
organization may be trying running any version of Android on it, let alone
Lollipop. It therefore seems more likely that Nokia is making a new phone with
the same name on it.
The Nokia 1100 was released
in late 2003 and is one of the organization's greatest devices as it was
purchased by around 250 million individuals around the world, as per Nokia.
Nokia even asserted that the Nokia 1100 was "the world's most successful phone."
However it is quite obvious that this device will not be launched until
the Q4 of 2016. As per the deal with Microsoft Nokia can only launch a phone
under its own brand after Q4 of 2016. Considering that Nokia will probably have
to work on the specs again.
