Here's Our First Big Rumour About Google's Next Nexus Phone

A wild report has emerged out of China. This report is considered to be too early for next-gen Nexus smartphone rumors. It has arrived many months before Google’s expected launch date for a brand new Nexus phone.

This phone is a successor of the Nexus 6. But we cannot call this phone Nexus 7 yet. This is because that would simply be a strange smartphone name. As considered Google has used it for tablets till now so it might be made by an Android device maker from China. This all is considered because of a post on Weibo posted by someone with knowledge of the matter that was quoted by GizmoChina.
The information providing sources doesn’t name the company that would make the next-gen Nexus smartphone, and moreover there are many candidates that could be considered for the job in this region, one such example can be Xiaomi.
Motorola, on the other hand which is the maker of the last Nexus smartphone, is a Chinese company which is owned by Lenovo. This rumor might not be that wild if we assume Google to be sticking with Motorola for a second year, as it had done with Samsung and LG before.

Google is facing a major problem, even though Google has a vast smartphone presence in China. The problem persists because here many device makers choose to ship their own different versions of Android and this limits Google’s ability reach to new customers. If we consider that China is a major market for any company, then choosing a local Android handset maker to actually design the device may make plenty of sense to Google.
