After launching different teasers in recent days about its new smartphone,
Gionee today launched the ELIFE S7, their new flagship at the MWC 2015. The S7 is a successor
to the Gionee S5.5 and S5.1 phones released in 2014. At only 5.5mm thickness,
the S7 has an amazing aluminum magnesium alloy unibody design with Gorilla glass
3 on the front and back.
It
houses the 64-bit MediaTek SoC which has a 1.7GHz octa-core processor matched
with 2GB of RAM. On the memory front, you will get 16GB of space.
Looking at the camera, you will get a 13MP rear snapper
which will use Gionee's new image processing system. This new system lets the
S7 to click around 6 pictures every second. Like one of its previous versions,
the Elife E7, the Gionee Elife S7 will likewise accompany a 8MP front cam.
The handset measures 139.8x67.4x5.5mm, and is
positively slimmer than it was rumoured to be, and measures just 127 grams. It is also happens to be the slimmest dual-sim phone right now.
One
issue with the Gionee Elife S5.5 was that it had poor battery life with only 2300 mAh. However The
Elife S7 in fact has a 2,750 mAh non-removable battery which is more powerful. However the quality of this
battery can only be known on extensive testing and usage.
