Asus has unveiled two new
tablets in India named Asus Fonepad 7 and Asus MeMO Pad 8. The Asus MeMO Pad 8
will be available at Rs. 19,999 whereas Asus Fonepad 7 will cost you Rs.
10,999. Both the tablets are exclusively available on Flipkart. The Fonepad 7 launched
officially in Feb; 2015 whereas the MeMO Pad 8 became official in Computex
2014.
The Asus Fonepad 7 is a dual
SIM tablet with voice calling feature. It runs on Android 4.4 OS (KitKat) with
the company’s own Zen UI skin in it. The device has a 7 inch WSVGA IPS screen
with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The handset has a 1.2 GHz
dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB of
internal memory which can be expended up to 64 GB via microSD card. It is 3G
tablet with Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The tablet is backed up by a powerful 3,950mAh
battery. It has 8 MP primary and 2 MP front-facing camera.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 also
runs on Android 4.4 operating system (KitKat) with Zen UI on top. It is the
lightest 8-inch LTE tablet according to ASUS. Its weight is around 299 grams. It
features an 8-inch HD display with IPS panel and screen resolution will be 1920
x 1200 pixels. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is provided for the screen.
It houses the Intel Atom Z3580 processor which is a quad-core hyper-threaded
processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. It also has 2 GB of RAM just like Fonepad 7. It
has 16 GB of internal memory which can be expended up to 32 GB via microSD
card. It is a 4G LTE smartphone with Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. It sports a
5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera for video chatting. It has a 4,350mAh
battery.
