Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G Gets MIUI 6 Update In India



In the Mi 4 launch event last month, Xiaomi India confirmed that all the Xiaomi smartphones will receive the MIUI 6 update in the coming weeks that have been sold in India. Based on Android 4.4 KitKat, Xiaomi's 2013 flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 3, received the MIUI 6 update in January and now it is the turn for the 4G-enabled Redmi Note 4G.

According to the user’s reports, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G has now started receiving MIUI 6 v6.3.5.0 update based on its Android 4.4.4 KitKat OTA (over-the-air) as promised by the company, a little later than the first week of February in India and in Taiwan.
Several posts are update d about Redmi Note 4G by the Indian users on the MIUI forums. But currently, the official change log for the new update is not available. The MIUI 6 (v6.3.5.0) update for the Redmi Note 4G is now available to download. According to TheNextDigit whose size is about 577 MB. Apart from other performance improvements, the stable MIUI 6 (v6.3.5.0) update primarily brings fix for music playback issues and camera lag.
Since Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 6 update based on Android KitKat, so it is expected that the Android 5.0 Lollipop-based update is still going to take some time to reach the handsets. The Redmi 1S and Redmi Note are the other Xiaomi smartphones that are set to receive the MIUI 6 update in early March. It was announced by Xiaomi India last week that the Redmi Note 4G will not be sold using its flash sale model, moreover that customers could buy the smartphone without registration via Flipkart But the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G till last week, had been made available via a flash sale model for online sales of the smartphone in India priced at Rs. 9,999, and via an offline sales model through exclusive Airtel stores.
