The sale of Xiaomi’s
latest flagship Mi 4 smartphone has been announced. The sale will start on February
24 (today). The registration for the same sale on Flipkart had already started
a week before last Tuesday. The sale of 16GB version of Xiaomi Mi 4 has already
started from 3 PM, whereas the sale for the 64GB version will start in the
evening 5 PM.
The 16GB variant costing
Rs. 19,999 had already been up for sale twice in the Indian market through
Flipkart. But for the 64GB variant, this will be the first time, it will go on
sale to the Indian customers at Rs. 23,999 price tag on it.
This will be the third
sale of Xiaomi Mi 4 in Indian market. The second round of sale was held on 17th February. The Chinese smartphone maker reported to make 35,000 units available
for the second round. However, there was no exact information on how many units
got sold in the second sale. Last time, there was a hefty number of 3.5 lakhs
registrations for the Mi 4 for its sale on February 10 and all the Mi 4 got
sold out in a mere 15 seconds. The Mi 4 is available every Tuesday for Flash
Sale through company’s exclusive selling partner Flipkart.
Xiaomi has failed to impress
with the pricing part of the phone on the occasion that it has limited flash
memory and lack of 4G support in its base model priced at Rs. 19,999. It would
have been great deal of Xiaomi had offered the 64GB version of Mi 4 at a price
tag of Rs. 19,999. Xiaomi Mi 4 will bbe competing against the OnePlus One 16GBversion which was huge success being priced at Rs. 18,999 available on Amazon. Apart
from OnePlus One, the Mi 4 will also be facing competition from the priceslashed Samsung Galaxy S4 which can be availed at Rs. 17,999.
