Former
Sony laptop unit, VAIO is entering to smartphone segment. It looks like VAIO is
all set to launch their first smartphone on March 12. Japan Communication
Company VAIO is thinking to turn their unit into smartphone brand and their
first model will be ‘JCI VA-10J’. As we know that Sony has sold their VAIO segment
to Japan industrial partners few months back and holds only 5% of VAIO shares. Their
first smartphone design will be borrowed from the parent company Sony.
Their
first smartphone has already appeared on the benchmark and revealed the
possible specs. According to phonearena, VAIO smartphone will feature 5 inch of
full HD display (720 x 1280 pixels of resolution). We know that Sony is popular
for its sound quality and camera quality. VAIO seems to follow the footsteps
of Sony. VAIO will be providing 13 MP of rear camera with LED flash to capture
happy moments of your life. 5 MP of front camera will be there for video call
and selfies.
VAIO’s
first smartphone will run on latest android v5.0 (lollipop) and will be powered
by quad core 64 bit snapdragon 410 MSM8916 clocked at 1.2 GHz. It will also
feature 2 GB of RAM to run high resolution game and apps. 16 GB of internal
memory will be helpful to store your photos and videos which can be expanded
using external micro SD card.
This
is the first smartphone from VAIO; we might expect a budget smartphone. In
starting, they just want to see the response from the users by providing them a
mid-budget product. We might see one more smartphone from VAIO later this year.
I would suggest this product if it cost me around 15-20k INR.
