Twitter To Show Tweets On Google Search

Twitter and Google made a deal to make the tweets more searchable online. Now the tweets can be seen in Google's search soon after they are posted. Earlier the web company did not have direct access to the information posted by the 284 million users but now the information will be on their doorstep as they got access to Twitter's firehouse all because of this deal.

The main reason behind the deal is believed to be the fact that the CEO Dick Costolo wants the tweets to be seen by more number of non-users. This would mean more revenue from large number of viewers.

Engineers from both sides are believed to be working already to make all the arrangements but since the deal is not yet public, nothing in concrete can be said right now by us and neither are the spokesmen of both the companies responding on the matter. The two giants had a similar type of deal from 2009 to 2011 but the former CEO Ali Rowghani was against renewing the deal if the sources are to be believed. Twitter is already providing data to Microsoft' Bing and also Yahoo in order to increase the number of visitors.

Regarding the deal, there is no advertising revenue according to the reports which suggests that Twitter will have the data licensing revenue all to themselves. There were rumors that the enterprise was after a deal like this one which started after the statement of Twitter's CFO in November. The deal now being done, people are eagerly waiting to see the impact it has on Twitter's popularity.
