It is easy to forget that the brand Samsung is a multi tasking company
that builds much more than just TVs and smartphones. It is true that it holds a
great possession in android market for its new and innovative smartphones however
it is much more than a smartphone company. For case, itconstruct CPU’sfor “arch foe
Apple” and makes little to standard OLED panels for various companies who need that desperately, not just its own mobile
division.
According to Reuters, Samsung is going invest another $3.6 billion into its OLED panel business
to off-setdeteriorating smartphone sales. Most of that hard cash will go into an absolutely
new production line producing curved OLED panels for the Samsung Galaxy Note edge and other company devices.
Samsung is not the only one South Korean
manufacturer investing more money into OLEDs but LG will also invest nearly $1
billion on fresh OLED capacity for big panel items like TV’s as well. Many more
