NVIDIA
has released its powerful Tegra K1 SoC last year, which even though is a
powerful beast but didn’t make into much devices due to some or the other reasons. But
the firm has recently announced Tegra X1 SoC at the CES 2015 which seemed quite
impressive. But the chipset has scored a whopping 74,977 on popular benchmarking
application AnTuTu.
The recent benchmark tests of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 and
Samsung Exynos 7420 revealed both SoCs which are almost equally potent have scored
61,499 and 60,978 respectively giving the Qualcomm’s latest chipset, Snapdragon
810 slight edge over Samsung’s in-house
Exynos 7420. But when it comes to NVIDIA’s Tegra X1, it crushed both the SoCs revealing its beastly octa-core power while the current top scores on AnTuTu
are hovering around 50k.
The
chipset will feature eight 64-bit cores combined with 256 core GPU which boosts the power of it
twice that of its predecessor, Tegra K1. The 3D benchmark rating is about 21,000
on a device with 4K resolution which is quite impressive for a mobile device!! All
these factors predict one hell of a SoC that’s going to give stiff and steady
competition to its contemporary rivals.
We
have to wait for some time to get to know which devices are going to be powered
by this monster. Keep visiting for more hottest tech news.
