Apple iPhones have made a serious trend. Being very expensive , they are affordable
only to some people. Keeping this in
mind, Motorola’s president Mr. Rick Osterloh hits back at Apple's claim saying that
companies should not let people customize phones. Further criticizing Apple’s smartphones, he claimed that the price of the iPhone maker’s products is
“outrageous”.

Osterloh responded with the comments of Apple’s lead designer Sir Jonathan Ive
that letting the people choose the color of their phones is taking a step back
from their responsibility from the prospects of a designer and quoted “Companies
which allow customers to choose the color of their phones are “abdicating
responsibility as a designer”.
He refused to specify the name
of the companies, Motorola had released its Moto Maker tool in 2013 which allows
people to customise its products.
Mr
Osterloh told the BBC that belief is that the end user should be directly
involved in the process of designing products. In fact they are making the
entire product line accessible. And are taking totally an opposite approach to Apple. He further added that mobile phones should be “affordable” unlike
Apple iphones.

He
criticized Apple for making so much money and charging such outrageous prices
which seems to be a real dichotomy in
our market place. So this cannot be the scenario of the future as explained by
Mr Osterloh. This criticism is for sure not wrong as we are well know with the
price of Apple’s smartphones and that every app in iPhone that comes is paid remains
a bitter truth.
