More Diversity in Emojis In The Latest Beta Updates Of Apple



Apple recently announced the Beta Updates of its iOS versions that are iOS 8.3 and iOS 9. With those updates in OS, we will also be getting updates new improved emojis in the coming iOS versions. Basically these emojis will be added to both iOS and OS X.

The new emoji now includes a variety of skin color options for emoji featuring faces and people, hands and other exposed skin parts. There will be new country flags. The new skin color options are available as alternatives when a user taps and holds on any of the people, face or hand emoji, thus offering a six color varied selection for any given situation to be applicable.


A total number of 32 new flags has been added to the existing collection. This new collection includes new countries that go well beyond few European, North American and Asian choices. These options of varied flags offered under the Travel and Places Section of emoji keyboard in the upcoming iOS and in the special character palette present in the OS X.

This new diversity in the emoji keyboard was expected by everyone a long time ago since the month of March last year, when MTV Act emailed Tim Cook (Apple CEO) and receved a reply from PR Katie Cotton (Apple Head) who said that Apple would be working along Unicode Consortium to build a more diverse emoji keyboard for the users. Unicode then published a draft technical report regarding using modifiers to produce a more diversified emoji than last year.


Adding to the diversity changes, Apple also switched some gadgetry imaging which also includes offering an iPhone 6 for smartphone image and an Apple Watch instead of a more conventional time piece.
