Fastest Identity Online FIDO is being added by Microsoft to Windows 10 to enable password-free sign up for different areas. PC user's dependency on weak passwords which can be easily cracked coupled with regular password leakage through consumer applications meant a move to fingerprint or biometric sign up methods for a more secured user interface. These problems also were very tedious and time consuming chore for the IT department. The Identity programme Manager at Microsoft said that the company has contributed some inputs to the Fido’s 2.0 technical specifications. Moving away from the password and to a much stronger form of identity is one of the big challenge that the company faces in the online world told by Ingalls.
Meanwhile the FIDO standards have a sim to create a framework
for security but without using password. FIDO software functions include
biometric blending with face, fingerprint, iris, dongles and includes members such as
PayPal, RSA, MasterCard, Lenovo Bank of America that use it. FIDO installation in
the Windows 10 Technical Preview showed Microsofts contribution to its technical
working group and shows a blend with Windows 10 sign in and access to various
softwares services which is also a package like Office 365 Exchange, Citrix, Concur etc.

Windows 10 will include integration of the Active
Directory and Microsoft Account for user services like Outlook.com.
