Karbonn has released a new
budget friendly smartphone with a price tag of 3,830 INR. The main thing that
makes it quite interesting is the Quad-Core processor at the price being sold. Karbonn
is yet to announce the official release of the phone.
The Karbonn S15 is quite a
good phone at the price being offered. The S15 comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core
processor of unknown make. It is a dual-SIM phone (GSM+GSM) featuring a 4-inch WVGA
(480x840p) screen. The processor is coupled with 512MB of RAM. The phone is run
by Android v4.4.4 Kitkat, but there is no word for its upgrade to lollipop. The
Karbonn S15 has 4GB flash memory which can be expanded up to 32GB with micro-SD
card. It features a 3.2 MP main camera with a VGA front camera on-board. The
S15 will be supporting 3G which is a good option altogether and as usual other
features like bluetooh, Wi-Fi, micro-USB are also supported.
Another main feature apart
from the Quad-core processor is the DTS surround sound audio technology to
provide good sound quality to music listeners. The S15 packs a 1500 mAh battery
(removable) but there is no clue about its standby time or talk time. The
Karbonn S15 will be available inBlack and White colors. The phone was first
unveiled by Fonearena.
The Karbonn S15 falls
under the company’s official Titanium line-up. In this lineup there are other
phones such as the Karbonn Titanium S19, Titanium S12 Delite and Titanium S20.
The phone will provide competition to phones like Lava Iris 465 which is pricedat 4,499 INR. The features are quite similar to the Karbonn S15, the only
distinguished feature is that Iris 465 supports 21 Indian languages.
