Over
the years, we have seen so much collaboration and supports from the tech giants
Apple and Microsoft for each other but it seems like both want to take the top
spot now and Apple has played its first card in order to do so. Apparently, the
iphone maker launched the web-based
version of its very own iWork software for Windows users for free to take over
the Microsoft's version of Office software suite and that seems very cold on
behalf of Apple.

Office
Online is free but it's web based applications are available with a
subscription which costs a little per month but you still have to pay. However, the web based of Apple is currently available for free but you certainly don't know whether it is going to be same in the near future. In 2013, Apple gave its
users the option to store their data on Apple's own cloud by introducing iCloud
and slowly included docs, music, photos etc and now with iWork being ported to
iCloud, users can use their Apple ID and password to log in to iCloud and use
Pages, Numbers and Keynote also compatible with Microsoft's documents formats.
Additional
advantage is that iWork works on ipads and iphones which means when you make
any change on your phone, the changes are automatically made to your Cloud
account. Well you can't say that Microsoft wants to trail in the race. They
used their own strategy and updated Microsoft Office for iphones and ipads by
adding more new features of course available for free.
