Intex has launched its first Android v5.0 (Lollipop) based smartphone.
Aqua Star L, priced at ₹ 6,990. The device will be obtainable in two colours Black
and White colours starting Monday exclusively via Snapdeal. The Intex touts
that the Aqua Star L is "the
foremost Android v5.0 (Lollipop)
smartphone by an Indian home brand." To be noted however, is that Xolo in
recent times provided Android 5.0
Lollipop updates for two of its
devices in India.
The Intex Aqua Star L is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone featuring a 5”
FWVGA IPS screen display having 480x854 pixels resolution. It is motorized by a
1.3 GHz quad-core (chipset not mentioned) processor coupled with RAM of 1 GB
which is ordinary in new smartphones.
It comes with 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 32 GB on
SD card. It sports an 8 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash, whereas
there is a 2 MP secondary camera on the front side also on board.
On the connectivity face, the Intex Aqua Star L offers 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11
b/g/n, Micro USB port, GPRS/ EDGE and Bluetooth v4.0 options. The smartphone
have a 2000 mAh battery which is necessary for a android smartphone as it
drains very quickly. It weighs just 130 grams.
Commenting on the launch of Intex Aqua Star L, Mobile Business Head of Intex Technologies, Kumar Sanjay said,

Earlier this February, company launched the Intex Aqua X, which was listed on the company's website at a price of ₹ 2,699. Previously, the
Indian home handset maker launched the Aqua Power HD for the Indian market exclusively, spaced
out from listing the Intex Aqua
5X and Aqua 3G Star on its site.
