The companies were declined to say that the Anil Ambani’s owned company, having around 60 million subscribers, don't use data services. So hopefully many such customers will opt for data services once introduced to the internet by the free-of-charge experience. Internet.org is basically a partnership between six mobile and technology companies and Facebook. The companies include SamsungEricssonNokia, MediaTek, Qualcomm and the Opera Software, launched in August 2013. These companies along with facebook has already connected Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana, Kenya and Colombia. Though, Facebook partnered Airtel which is India's top mobile operator, to launch the internet.org app in Zambia, Ghana and Kenya. After the US and Canada, India is the third largest market, which uses Facebook with 112 million monthly active subscribers.

The internet.org project has basically three parts, they are internet.org app that provides free basic Internet services to mobile users and helps them to embrace data, the innovation lab that duplicates network conditions in remote areas for app developers so that they can test whether their solutions would work in the areas with low bandwidth and, the connectivity lab to help increase connectivity for unconnected populations with the help of lasers, satellites and drones.

This project will prove very helpful for people without internet connection and help in providing a huge population with the assistance of internet.
