It is quite a tough task to check/measure the improvement scale in audio
quality. You shall get a lot of mobile companies claiming their improved or
best audio quality. But there are only two names that come in my mind, when
there is a question of VoLTE. Verizon is the first name and then T-Mobile.
VoLTE lets you place calls on 4G LTE networks (data networks) which
differentiates itself from the conventional method of networks of circuit-switch.
VoLTE is the abbreviation for ‘Voice over LTE’.
We are at a big
bay from the time when every phone call we make or receive is in pure HD.
Nonetheless my following guide shall give you the right way as to how you can
enable HD voice in iPhone 6plus.
Enabling
HD Voice:
"Data Only" is
the only network option that your device (iPhone 6) allows by default.
Configure your device to 4G LTE network. By configuring you would be manually
enabling VoLTE. Select ‘Voice and Data’
Using T-Mobile and Verizon
for enabling HD Voice:
Although there
are lots of limitations in this procedure but still its very efficient as it is
a one step process. If you are under contract with Verizon, there is one step
additional: Advanced Calling 1.0. The T-Mobile is indeed a one step activation.
Both of these don’t charge you anything for this facility!
Enabling HD Voice by Other
Carriers:
AT&T:
This one does provide HD services but limited. Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois
and Wisconsin are the parts where HD services are available.
Sprint:
Via
VoLTE, Sprint doesn’t provide you this service.
Limitations:
Many
of the calls made by HD Voice or by VoLTE are often dropped. LTE Network bounds
them for HD Voice quality and it is necessary for the lines of HD Call to be in
LTE Network as long as conversation id going on.
The same carrier along with VoLTE on both the iPhone6, then only HD services for calling are
available.
Final Conclusion:
It is
thus obvious that one can enjoy HD audio calling by one step or two, so why
waiting? Just go on. Furthermore, if any kinda problem you face please feel
free to ask.
