So, most of you have been eagerly waiting for the
whatsapp call feature. The much anticipated feature began rolling out to users
in India, but the gloomy part is that you need some kind of invite to get the
feature activated. This invite process is very simple. Whenever you receive a
whatsapp call from any of your friends, then this feature will be unlocked on
your whatsapp account too. Although it seems pretty simple, as of now majority
of the users haven’t got the feature. So here’s a way you can enable this feature
without any such invite.
Prerequisites:
- Latest
updated whatsapp app
- Rooted
mobile
- Root powered file explorer such as ES file explorer.
- Now
we are everything set to enable the call feature.
Step 1:
Open
ES file explorer and access the tab to the left where you can find Root explorer option in the Tools menu. Turn it on and grant ES file
explorer Super user rights.
Step2:
Navigate
to /data/data/com.whatsapp/shared_prefs/com.whatsapp_preferences.xml.
Step3:
Now
we are going to edit the XML file named com.whatsapp_preferences.xml
Just
open it with ES note editor and add these lines of coding anywhere between
<map> and </map>
Code:
<boolean name ="call"
value="true"/>
<string name="call_allowed">all</string>
Step 4:
Save the file and close it.
Step 5:
Now head to
settings>apps>all>whatsapp and then force stop it.
Now open whatsapp, you will have the call
feature enabled.

Final
conclusion
Please note that this process may not work
on some android versions. As of now it should work on lollipop and kitkat. It
may no longer work if whatsapp patches it. Stay tuned for more interesting
