The firm earlier declared that it has been developing its own version of Android and a build of the OS based on Lollipop (the most recent version of Android), is likely to be released on February 12. Company named this personalized OS as Oxygen OS. According to OnePlus, the OS will be bloatware free and only bring features important to customers. It also says it has no policies of departing from Google's Material Design and will not add pointless customizations. The OS was initially being developed for OnePlus upcoming devices. OnePlus will set-up physical centers where it will assist customers to flash their current OnePlus One with the OS. It will also provide online guidelines for customers who prefer to flash their phone on their own.
