AUXUS ONE is one
of the newest phones in the market launched by iberry. It was released on 6th
December 2014 and can only be bought on ebay. The phone was released for a
price of 15,990 Rs and comes with extra goodies like two scratch guards, a power
bank, a rear case and a Bluetooth device that can control the camera. It went
on sale from 15th December. The price was changed to 19,990 Rs on 1st January
2015. All its accessories can be purchased from ebay.
AUXUS ONE: DESIGN
Iberry has given
special emphasis on the design of the auxus one. It is one of the best-looking
phones in India. The swiveling camera sets it apart from other phones in this
price range. A portion on the back cover is touch responsive too. People often
mistake it for the Oppo line-up.
AUXUS ONE: DISPLAY
The screen size is 5.5 inches making it close to the territory of the phablets. The display has
a resolution of 720 x 1080 giving it a pixel density of 228 ppi, yet the
display is amazing. However the viewing angles are not that great as the image
quality gets disturbed when viewed from different angles. It uses capacitive
buttons for back, home and settings .It sports a volume rocker and a power
button on the right edge .The phone dimensions are 154.00 x 76.00 x 7.90 mm. The
phone has a weight of 175 gm but feels light in the hand. Touch sensitivity of the
screen is above average too; however at times the sensitivity drops below
average and the finger needs to be pressed against the screen so that no random
apps may open while scrolling.
AUXUS ONE: OFF SCREEN CAPABILITIES
Double tapping
the screen, turns it on as well as swiping from bottom to top. Swiping from top
to bottom plays music and swiping left and right changes the song. Additional
gestures can be activated in the setting. The ones available to us are the
letters W, O, C and E. They can be assigned an app to initialize when gestured.
AUXUS ONE: HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The Auxus one
comes with android 4.4 (Kitkat) which is currently one of the latest versions
of android. It may be upgradeable to lollipop in the future. The phone is
powered by mediatek's octacore processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. Mali-450 Mp4 makes
sure all Games run at excellent speed. 2 GB of RAM means it is a phone made for
multitasking. All this is powered by a huge removable 3200 mAH battery. Internal
storage is 32 GB so you will not run out of memory easily. There is a MicroSD
card slot for additional storage that supports even a 128 GB card. The phone
Speakers are on the back and have an average loudness.
AUXUS ONE: CAMERA
According to the
website, the camera is a 15.5 MP Sony camera. The camera module rotates to 207
degrees. It has a dual Led flashlight of average intensity. Even with a 15.5 MP,
the camera quality is average. The problem may lie in the software that
processes the image from the camera. It can record good quality videos too. Double
tapping the rear touch panel opens the camera app and touching the screen for
1.5 seconds snaps a photo.
AUXUS ONE: SIM CARD
It can support
two sim cards. However, only the 1st slot supports 3G. The second sim card slot
does not detect a sim card and a message has been sent to iberry regarding this
problem.
