Intex has launched another smartphone in India and this phone belongs to its Intex Aqua sequence. The device is named as the “Aqua Y2 Remote” and as its name suggests, the phone can dual up as a remote designed for appliances such as Set Top Boxes, TV, AC etc. A consumer of this smartphone will have to make use of the inbuilt ZaZa app and unite it to the supportable device that he desires. This app saves the model number of the connected product and one can organize the features that it desires to be synced. The brand too is promoting this as the major feature of the device.
This device has a 4” display size
with screen resolution of 800 × 480 p. It is embedded with 512 MB
RAM and runs on a 1.2 GHz, Dual Core processor. The 4 GB of inbuilt storage can
be expanded upto 32 GB by applying a microSD card. The primary camera has a 5
MP sensor with a LED Flash while the front camera has a 2 MP camera. The phone
is powered by a 1500 mAh battery. It runs Android v4.4.2 (kitkat) and there is
no verification from the company as to if and when the handset will get the
Android v5.0 (Lollipop) update.

The company also recently unveiled its Intex Aqua Star L which is the first smartphone by an
Indian home brand that is shipped with Android
v5.0 (lollipop). But
this smartphone is accessible exclusively on Snapdeal website in two
colours - black and white. It is good news that Indian manufacturers are lately
but taking Android system updates seriously because earlier the majority of
their smartphones used to never get updates. May be the motive for this transform
is due to the competition from other global brands. Many of those international
brands give updates to their low cost smartphones too. For ex, Motorola is functioning on the
Lollipop update for their Moto E
which nowadays costs ₹ 5999. Intex had also released the Intex Aqua Desire this month and that smartphone too is
for the finances conscious customers.
