Operating System 10.3.1 will come to smartphones like Z10, Z3, Q10, Q5, Z30,
Porsche Design P’9982 and P’9982. So this is going to be exciting for those who
have earlier Blackberry 10 devices. The company announced that the Operating System
10.3.1 update is starting to go live around the world which will bring
functionality like the BlackBerry Assistant and Blend. You can also have access
to Android apps via Amazon Appstore.

The Assistant is
BlackBerry’s take on for Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Google Now - a voice-based
helper from which you can finish your work in a very less time. This feature is
very useful to locate info when you are in a hurry. BlackBerry Blend is a
feature from which user can get message notifications, read and respond to
emails and messages. You can also access files, calendars, contacts and other
media on your device using a Windows PC or Mac or Android device.
The company has also
re-introduced shortcuts like pressing “T” to get to the top of your Inbox or “B”
to jump to the bottom. You can also press “N” to launch BBM, “A” to launch your
Address Book, “O” to launch Settings, and many more.
The addition of the Amazon
Appstore provides the facility by which user can download and purchase Android apps and games. BlackBerry’s latest Operating System update also brings User Interface
tweaks, and the possibility of additional battery life via power saving
settings. BB10 users will get a
notification in the BlackBerry Hub when the software is ready for download. If
they have enabled automatic download setting then they will be notified that
the software is downloading.
