We
all are familiar with the web version of Whatsapp and its popularity. Whatsapp
is continuously in the news since 1 or 2 years. Facebook is really trying hard to
make this messenger app as friendly as possible. But in doing so they are creating
some bugs too which should be solved immediately. With number of cool features
it gained so much popularity among the smartphone users and now it’s new web
version gaining the same popularity.
Let’s
have a look on the top mistakes in Whatsapp web version:
Profile picture and
status cannot be changed.
This
is something user might not like. People change their status and profile pic on
the daily basis and they will not find this feature in web version of whatsapp.
This tells that whatsapp need to work on this fault immediately.
Whatsapp web
version is for existing users only.
You
cannot register yourself through web version of Whatsapp. You need to have an
existing account which can be created from smartphone or tablet.
You cannot create
new group.
If
you are already a member or admin of a group then only you can operate that in
web version. You cannot create a new group through web version. For that you
have to use your smartphone and then only you can create a new one. Also you
can't leave a group even if you don’t like it.
No forward option.
You
just can’t forward anything through web version of whatsapp. For sending any
image/video, you have to go to your gallery. This will be frustrating for the
users.
A big problem with
the emoticons.
When
we send any emoticon through smartphone it comes to the recently used option. But
the thing is they are not synchronizing with the web version. Means if you use
web version after that and you need same emoticon then you have to search it in
your all emoticons. I think its bit hectic work.
Block contact
option is not there in web version.
It’s
good that facebook introduced this new web version but on the other hand this
has so many bugs too. You just can’t block annoying/irritating people through
whatsapp web version. You have to use smartphone for that.
Smartphone should have
internet connection.
This
web version synchronizes message from your smartphone. You’ll able to use whatsapp
web version as long as your phone is connected to the internet. Once you lost
data connection in your smartphone, you’ll loose connection from web version
too.
You can’t identify
whether text came from smartphone or desktop.
Unlike
Facebook you can’t identify whether the user is using desktop or smartphone. Your
text will be all same. Means same double tick, blue tick and single tick will
come in your web version.
No iOS support.
At
this time iPhone users are more active on whatsapp. But this web version will
only allow android and blackberry users to use it. This is a big disappointment
for iOS users.
Final
conclusion:
These
were some bugs on which Facebook really needs to work hard. Although we can
understand that they are new to web version of Whatsapp but they need to solve
these bugs immediately before users lose their interest.
