YotaPhone 2 Review : The Dual Face Phone

YotaPhone has released its latest phone as an extension of its previous YotaPhone 1. Till now, it has not been specifically named so it is simply called YotaPhone 2. The best feature to go with the phone is its looks and not to be forgotten, its dual face.

YotaPhone 2: Looks and Design

YotaPhone presents a much cooler version of a smartphone. It is probably the first phone ever with dual display. Along with the awesome display on its front, it also comes with a rear display. The finishing of the phone is quite different from the earlier YotaPhone, this phone is more curved on its edges and holds a classy 3D look.

YotaPhone 2: Software

The YotaPhone 2 has a vanilla build of the Android 4.4.3 - KitKat, and it has good speed although there is no OEM skin. It’s also rumored that Yotaphone promises an Android 5.0 Lollipop which will be eventually coming up in the device, though no specifications promoted yet.

YotaPhone 2: Battery

There is a 2500 mah battery that powers the YotaPhone 2. Battery life may be a problem due to its rear e-ink panel. On an average,  the Yotaphone may be working for about 8 hours with continuous usage.

YotaPhone 2: Dual Screen

The existence of YotaPhone 2's existence is the second display on its back. The phone uses e-ink technology, which doesn’t have backlit like other typical LCDs and uses power only when it refreshes the screen. It's hence extremely power efficient.

Final Conclusion

As far as looks are concerned YotaPhone is good, but the cost is too high for a phone which has almost all the normal features except the dual screen. Moreover, the battery life may not be that efficient as the battery in this phone is similar to the one in its earlier phone, added up with another display.
