“The
Chinese Apple” Xiaomi has planned to start its first research and development unit
outside China which will be located at Bangalore. The Indian Head, Manu Jain said that
signing up of the lease for the facility in Bangalore is in process. The center
is expected to function in a few months. After facing few disasters while
selling the Xiaomi Mi3 which resulted in customer dissatisfaction, now it’s time
for Xiaomi to prove that they do consider the Indian markets important and they’ll
make it up for the Indian Fans.
Xiaomi
was started on June 6th, 2010. A startup company which started with 6 co-founders
reached heights which they didn’t even expect it. They considered selling 10,000
mobiles a week and now Xiaomi sells around 100,000 mobiles a
week. As their name says they started with little things which reached greater
heights. They recently launched Xiaomi Mi4 partnering with Flipkart in the Indian
markets.

Xiaomi
hired a former Google Executive to lead the Research and Development team in
Bangalore. By the end of march 2015, the R&D plant in Bangalore work
facility will be over and the work will start in a few months. Xiaomi also said
that by the end of this year there will be around 100 Mi service centers to
give the MI fans a better service after sales. The R&D plant in India is
built to cater the Indian needs in a Smartphone and give the Indian fans
a better feature at the best price which will satisfy the Indian expectations
from the Xiaomi.
Xiaomi
which was crowned as the “Future Apple” recently was also featured as the top
50 most innovative companies last year. Seems like the company is growing day by
day. Looking forward for the first product that will be launched after the
R&D plant starts functioning in India, as Xiaomi promises to focus on
the local requirements.
Stay tuned to get more updates.
