When
it comes to Apple, everyone wants a retail store nearby and guess what, people
of Hangzhou have seen their wish come true. Apple officially opened its new
retail store in Hangzhou yesterday. The west lake store is one of the five
retail store which are supposed to be opened before the Chinese New Year i.e. 9
February. And like any other stuff from Apple, it also experienced a huge
fanfare.
The
excitement of the new opening can be judged from the fact that the CEO of the
company Tim Cook posted on his twitter account regarding the store which is not
something he does very often. The retail store is appraised to be the largest
store in Asia and is a giant step taken in order to complete the goal of the
company which is to open 25 stores across the country by 2016.
The
building has a Genius Bar, space for personal training and workshops and the
showroom floor which is split into 2 levels which in short means it has class
written all over it. With the apple logo shining bright, the night also noticed
the presence of calligrapher Wang Dongling whose mural was used by Apple to
promote the event. Seven days from now, Apple is expected to open its second
store in Chongqing. Now Apple has stores
in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Wuxi, Chengdu, Zhengzhou and Shenzhen.
The
population of China makes it "the market to target" and Apple
realized it. Out of all the smartphones that are sold in China, iphones occupied
a big share and that is the exact reason why the company is looking to
consolidate its supremacy. Seeing the support for the first store, one can only
hope that rest of dealers are gonna have a tough time ahead.
