The South Korean giant
Samsung, recently officially announced its slimmest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A7. The phone has been gaining a lot of attention online since its
launch a few days back. And now, Samsung launched the Z1, first tizen based smartphone.
Rumors about the phone went viral on the web when everyone first heard about
the non-android smartphone. The device was long awaited by everyone to be
launched. Some days back, even we wrote the leaked specs of this first non-android
smartphone.
The phone is a budget
smartphone. That means people who are having low budget and want a good looking
smartphone at a low price, then this will be a good choice to them. The main
aim of releasing the Tizen based phone is to ease out the reliance that Samsung
has on the Google’s Android operating system. Samsung has been working for
years along with Tizen association, Intel and Linux Foundation to develop this
OS. The company promises that it can be substitute to the Android phones at a
low price i.e. 5,700 INR.
Samsung Z1: Design and
Display
Samsung has tried to give
it an appealing look to the phone. But still, the design seems quite similar to
Samsung’s previous phone the Galaxy Ace. The screen being a 4-inch WVGA screen
with resolution of 854 x 400 is quite good for the price at which it is being
offered. The display type is a PLS display with multi finger touch feature.

Samsung also says that
Tizen OS also has other various advantages. Tizen offering a lightweight
platform is able to provide fast boot time, fast browser experience and quick
access to apps. The company has also provided the Z1 with an in-built SOS facility to reach out for help when needed by just pressing the power button.
This is quite for women who will be using the phone. The Samsung Z1 also has a
private mode to keep your sensitive info away from other people reach. The
phone also comes with an antivirus. Another thing to spice it up, Reliance and
Aircel are offering 500MB 3G data per month six months.
Conclusion
Being the first Tizen
smartphone from Samsung, the phone is packed with all sorts of features that
are very much required in any smartphone. The features are quite appealing but
the question arises on the OS. If the OS is available to provide that much flexibility
like Android platform, then investing on this phone is not a bad idea.
