Oppo Launches Its Mid-Range Smartphone: Oppo Mirror 3



The rulers of Indian mobile market such as Samsung, HTC, Sony and Apple have new contenders, Oppo. Oppo entered this race last year with the Oppo N1. Oppo brought in the innovation; they gave us a swivel camera and were the first to ship a phone with Cyanogenmod out of the box. Although they didn’t bring a Cyanogenmod version in India and Oppo N1 failed to make mark on the market.

With innovative phones being brought out by Oppo, Oppo attacked the market with a mid-range Smartphone named Oppo Mirror 3. The Smartphone is already launched in Vietnam and the details of its launching in other regions have still not being disclosed.


Display and Design:

The dual-SIM Smartphone has a 4.7 inch HD display with an IPS display of screen resolution of 720x1280p. The phone looks pretty stylish. It resembles the recently launched Oppo R1C except for the glossy back cover. It comes in two variants a black and a white.

Camera features:

The Oppo Mirror 3 features an 8 Megapixel camera with Sony IMX179 sensor and a lens aperture of f/2.0. The Sony sensor is a 1/3.2" piece of silicon, which results in a 1.4 micron pixel size. A Smartphone in the current generation can go without a selfie snapper, and Oppo’s Mirror 3 provides a 5 Megapixel for you.

Processor and Speed:

Oppo has been working pretty hard recently and their latest Smartphone packs a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC. Yes it’s a 64-bit snapdragon processor. The Smartphone boards a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU combined with a modest 1GB of RAM.


Operating System:

Oppo Mirror 3 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Oppo proprietary ColourOS 2.0.1 UI on top. Oppo has still not commented on the update for the latest version of Android. The Smartphone will have a LTE (4G) support.

Battery and Storage:

The Oppo Mirror 3 will be powered by a 2000mAh battery which the company claimed can be charged within 90 minutes with the help of a bundled 2A charger. The lower mid-range smartphone comes packed with an 8 GB on internal which can be expanded upto 128GB with micro-SD card.

Overall the Oppo Mirror 3 is quite good in itself. What can be plus point for the phone is the Sony lens equipped camera and the expandable memory. The question is can this phone make the name for itself which the previous Oppo N1 failed to do. The answer awaits in the coming future.
