NASA
has planned to launch a new app through which the users can get into the
working of the International Space Station. The ISS is a micro gravity and
space environment research laboratory in which the crew members conduct
experiments in meteorology, astronomy, human biology, physics, biology and
other fields.
The
experiments are depicted as spots in each category and the lines connecting the
spots to the system depict the time of the experiment spent on orbit. User can
see specific experiments in each category and or even search for any specific
experiment using the search option. There is a benefits section which provides
information on Global education, Earth Benefits and Human Health. We can go into
any section to know about it in detail. There is another section called the
Facilities section which provides the user to have an interior view of all the
three of the station modules - Destiny, Columbus and Kibo. Another section
contains links to other Space station research sites and NASA applications.
There is yet another section which is the Media section which enables the users
to access Games, Podcasts, and Videos.
In
the Games section there is one game that introduces users with the differences
in gravity when tossing a ball. The space station is about 72 m long, 108 m
wide and 20 m high with an altitude of between 330 km and 435 km and travels at
an average speed of about 27,700 km per hour.
