Motorola has been the leader
when it comes to providing most recent Android updates to its customers. This
time also, just hours after Google announced Android Lollipop,
Motorola has announced as to which of its Smartphone will get an update.
The
timing of the update has not been announced, but Motorola has revealed that the
following devices will be having updates:

- Design:
You will rapidly notice a totally new multi-colored look and sense to your device
– from fluid animations to new apps and device themes, colors and widgets.
- Notifications
UI and Priorities.
- New
Interruptions and Downtime Settings: You can tailor how interruptions act,
opting to permit all, none, or only main concern interruptions. You can
personalize what consider as a priority interruption (message, reminders,
events, calls) and even tailor them to be from only contacts you specify. The
Downtime setting will permit only main interruptions during the times and days
that you state. Example, consider only main interruptions on the weekend.
- Motorola
Display and Ambient Display: While your Smartphone’s display is off, Motorola
Display will keep on to surface relevant notifications to you using the
low-power Contextual Computing Processor. It will also cleverly act in response
when you use the Approach gesture under Moto Actions.
- Pin
a view/app: Screen pinning permit you to keep a specific app or screen in view.
For example, you can ‘pin’ a game and your child will not be able to navigate
anywhere else on your phone.
- Battery:
The Battery settings panel now shows an approximate projection for how much
time you have left while discharging or charging. You can also facilitate a
latest battery saver mode that will save power by sinking performance and most
background data operations to expand your battery life.
- Performance:
Your smartphone now uses the new Android Runtime to assist optimize application
operation. After promoting to Lollipop, your applications will undergo a
one-time optimization procedure.
- Smart
Lock (Trusted Devices): Android Lollipop adds native assist for permitting
trusted devices to keep your smartphone unlocked (such as your Moto 360,
headset, a Bluetooth car kit etc.). Smart Lock replaces the priority trusted
device capability in your Motorola smartphone.
You
should get OTA update notification on your Moto G (1st or 2nd Generation). Even
you can go on the way to Settings, about phone, System updates and opt for
download manually. Motorola previously confirmed Android Lollipop
