LG Electronics Inc. Quoted in a recent conference that a new curved smartphone under its flagship will soon hit the market.This is an effort to bring the curve to the mass market.
LG Flex 2 will be launched officially on Jan 30 in Indian markets and overseas in the near coming months as told by the South Korean company.
Almost all phones nowadays are coming with extravagant features in a
particular range.Curved screens are a way of differentiating these smartphones
amongst such features such as display quality , network speed and competent
cameras.
In the
starting, when LG released its first version of these Flex phones in 2013,it
was for a particular segment of the market.The latest information predicts that
LG is targeting a much wider market considering the user point of view. The
phone specifications includes a 5.5-inch screen which is curved from top
to the bottom. Improving the previous model, the phone's self-healing back can repair scratches in a few seconds rather than
minutes. The South Korean company said that both the screen and the body are
more resistant to shocks than any other phone available in the market.

LG's
native rival Samsung Electronics Co. is also fiddling with curved
screens. In 2014 Samsung officiated the Galaxy Note 4 Edge, where the
screen on its curved edge displays information.
The
company hasn’t set any sales target but Executive Vice President Cho Sung –ha
said the company expects the sales of G Flex 2 to be higher than its previous
release.LG didn’t derived the latest technologies for G-Flex 2 like quantum dot
displays. In turn it has a full definition screen.The company has hinted that G
Flex 2 will be sold in South Korea for an amount of 900,000 which equals to
around 830$ (US).
