Apple’s 3D Map Patent For Next Device


Once upon a time Apple had Google Maps as it’s default mapping app. Then slowly they designed their Apple Maps which wasn't a big success. But it was soon found to be substituting the Google Maps in the Apple devices. Though the Apple maps weren't the best, it served its purpose good. Soon there were a few changes in the mapping app, Google and Apple maps competed against each other in 3D. Though Apple failed a few times to the Google Maps. It came back with a counterattack and Apple Maps are now considered better than Google Maps.

Though Apple Maps are considered better they are still improving and it has resulted in 28 new mapping inventions that flooded the patent office last month, which depict the new 3D mapping app that will provide features that will let the users to see the 3D view of the streets, it can provide you with an approximate value of the height and depth of a selected location, fly over views, map tile view in 3D, map rotations, curved 3D images, voice instructions and lots more.
