With
the latest developments, both Android and iOS have been hot topics to discuss on.
We have seen a range of new features like third party keyboards and an option
to share in iOS to the new design language in Android.
Below
you will find the 5 features Android could still adopt from iOS.
Unlimited
Apps in a Folder
In
iOS7, Apple introduced a new feature to customize the home screen folders as
well as removed the 16 app limit storage in the folder to your hand. Android doesn’t
provide this feature to the users and limit has been set to 16 applications.
Apple Airdrop
Airdrop
is a simple way to exchange photos between multiple iOS devices or Mac OS.
Apple has updated this feature in way to be compatible across all devices. Though
Android also has NFC service which enables us to share files among two NFC
enabled devices you may also try third party services like Air Droid or Wi-Fi
File Transfer. Still, none of these are as trusted and simple as Airdrop.
Camera
Application
Androids
app for camera has undergone a major transformation following each update.
However its camera isn't very cool to user. Switching among different modes has
been very difficult as it has a complex layout of the settings panel. iOS
camera is easier to use, with its simple gliding touch panel which makes it
easy to switch between different modes.
Search or Finder
Google
has its SEARCH dialog box which is present at the top of every screen thus
eating up space. iOS has transformed
this thing. You can just use the Slide Down gesture on any home-screen to find
anything and everything. Android can adopt this feature to make the user -
device relation more strong.
Family
Account Utility
iOS
has introduced a new feature for families where a family shares all their
iTunes account in a single family account. All users in a family have the
authentication to share purchases from iTunes or Apps Store. The family head
can deny any purchase request and control the account. Well you may think
Android also can provide a similar utility. For e.g. a family can have google
accounts and one shared google account where purchases can be done .But it will
be a difficult situation when security point of view is considered relative to
the iOS build up.
