eTree - Charge Your Phone Anytime, Anywhere...

If you are interested in solar energy and high tech fields, then you must know that hyperactive Israeli brains are one of the best in this field. Now, they have combined these two fields together and the result is a unique combination of both worlds - solar etree.  This is exactly as the God of their forefather Abraham promised that He will make him and his seed a channel of blessings for all the people of the world.

etree

This eTree represents a real tree, but the canopy contains  solar panels that produce energy from the sun and store it in itself. It can produce energy of 7 kilowatts of power per day. It does not provide just solar energy. It also provides Wi-Fi, alongwith a  docking station to charge your smartphones and laptop, decorative night lighting, a computer monitor that allows you to video chat with other friends.

The innovative tree was proposed for the first time on October 11, 2014 at Hanadiv Gardens  near Zichron Ya’akov. Designers suggested that this tree would be a perfect fit for the residential, urban centres and educational centres. Michael Lasry of Sologic said. “eTree is a social venture which aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability, to create a link between the technology and  environment.” “Every tree has a monitor of a computer connected through Wi-Fi, providing information on the energy generated by the system and the geographical information about the specific site. So people sitting there on other eTree can see and swap over information with people sitting at an eTree in Israel or China or anywhere”.

It will be offered in two models - basic model and an advance model. The basic model  is named  as Citrus, 3.5m wide, which will offer hot-cold drinking water, charging port in schools and parks. Advanced model, has been named as Acacia, which is 4.5m wide, and will serve for all purposes as a small solar power station, with seating areas, decorative night lighting and more.

The eTrees which cost between $20,000 and $100,000 and rely on solar generated power from its canopy, are built tough to withstand all variety of climates and conditions.
They also intended for the public to interact with geco-friendly technologies and others in interesting and innovative way while spreading awareness of solar energy.
