Intex is well known for
its phones having good features and low price. Intex continues the low price
phones saga and recently launched the Intex Aqua 4X. The phone is priced at
2,999 INR and is exclusively available at the ebay e-commerce site. At the
price bracket, the company offers good features in the phone. The phone is
specifically targeted for the budget conscious customers. The phone is currently
available in black color, but the company promises to launch it in gray color
as well.

4X: BUILD QUALITY AND LOOKS
The overall build quality
of the phone is quite good as per the price bracket. The phone cover has a
matte finish which gives a good look to the phone and it does not feel like
it’s a low budget phone. The front speaker grills at the top and bottom give a look
similar to htc phones. The back cover is quite firmly fitted to the mobile,
thus it can provide you a dust free zone inside the phone. Overall the build
quality is good considering the price at which it’s available.

4X: DISPLAY QUALITY
The Intex Aqua 4X comes
with a 4 inch WVGA display with a screen resolution of 800 x 480 and a pixel
density of 233 ppi. Given the price and the screen of the phone, it’s quite a
fair deal. I don’t think you can get such screen quality at such price range.
The color reproduction on the screen is fair enough for a WVGA screen. The
screen looks vivid, though you may get some difficulty using the screen in full
day light.

4X: HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The processor inside the
Aqua 4X is a 1 Ghz dual-core processor coupled with 256 MB RAM. Now that can be
a little disappointment as 512 MB RAM could have been better. But still, the
phone does not lags, thanks to the dual-core processor. The internal memory of
the phone is 512 MB which is expandable to 32 GB through a micro-sd card. The
phone comes with stock android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean, although you can see small
tweaks in the UI. The phone comes with many pre-loaded apps and games.

Intex Aqua 4X has got two
cameras. The rear camera is a 2 MP shutter and is accompanied by a flash. The
front camera is VGA camera. The 2 MP shutter can take fair quality photographs
in day light but in the low light conditions, the quality reduces. The VGA front
camera can be used for video calls.

4X: BATTERY AND CONNECTIVITY
The Aqua 4X is powered by
a 1300 mAh Li-ion battery. The phone comes with a 3G connection and that’s a
big plus for the price tag. Apart from that, it supports 2G, Wi-fi, Bluetooth.
The phone provides wi-fi tethering as well.
FINAL CONCLUSION
It can be said that the
Intex Aqua 4X would be tough to compete for a value for money phone. If your
budget is low and you want a phone to have whatsapp, hike, Facebook etc at 3G
speeds, then this is the phone for you. The 256 MB RAM is enough to meet your
general needs of daily usage.
