After the successful
launch of One M8 in the month of March this year, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer
HTC, will soon be launching the One M9. It will be the successor to the One M8.
Word is there that the M9 is mimicking the LG G3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4
in terms of display of qHD screen.
Apart from that, HTC is
power packing the phone with high end features, starting from screen to the
processor. The body of the M9 will be a brushed metal Uni-body design.
The company promises that
the phone would very sleek in design and may return the company to its
smartphone supremacy.
Key features may consist
of:
- 5.2 – inch display; 2566 x
1440 resolution and 564 ppi.
- 2.7 GHz Quad-Core
Snapdragon 805 processor.
- Android v5.0 Lollipop.
- GPU: Adreno 420
- Memory: 3GB RAM.
- Internal storage: 64GB/128GB.
(Yet to be confirmed)
- Category 6 LTE.
There is still no word
about the camera and the battery, but most probably the camera might be 20.7MP
like the one on Xperia Z4. With these specs around, it will provide a tough
competition to the phones that will be in its segment. But if the phone comes
with an IP68 certification, then that would be like icing on the cake.
With these
specs on board, mostly the price would be somewhere between 600 – 700 USD
(37,000 – 43,000 INR) approx. Still, the actual price is unknown from the maker
of this beast. Seeing the release dates
of M7, M8 in the months of February and March respectively, we can assume that
the M9 may be launched in the midst of March or April.
