Scientist and Researchers across the globe are competing with each other. Each one is trying to break others records. One of the best example
can be seen here is that University of Technology situated in Netherlands and
University of Central Florida situated in US had made the world’s fastest network
cable.
You can’t believe it, this cable can transmit 255
terabits per second. And it is approximately equal to peak traffic of internet.
I hope you know the traffic of internet is huge. If you don’t know, just check
the infographic below, it states what happens in 1 second of internet.
In Market we are having cables which can transmit only 100
gigabits per second. It is amazing but simply it is not enough. That’s why Scientists from US and Netherlands University
have created this fiber optic cable, which can carry up to 2.5k times more data.
Means, this cable can transfer data at 32 terabytes per sec. It may be complicated for you all. So, I will
come up in simple words, this world’s fastest network cable can transfer 1 GB
in 0.003 of a sec. This capacity is amazing, it has combined power of hundreds
of glass fiber cable.
The cables which transfer internet signals are called single
mode cables. These are optical fiber cables. This is called single mode because
it can transfer only one laser light at a point of time. So this limits the
data transferred.
This new cable is multi-core or multi-mode cable. In this 7 cores are arranged which run along
its length. So in single point of time it can transfer 7 different laser
signals.
So you can assume it is like replacing every single lane
highway in India with eight lane freeways. So no one has to wait, all of the
internet people can stream YouTube without single buffering moment. As our population is growing very fast and internet usage
is growing by exponential rate. We will be needing this technology in upcoming
5 years.

fastest cable which can transfers 1 GB in just 0.003 of 1 second, by commenting
