2014 saw the rise of Galaxy note 4 and Gear S and Samsung is due to release another smartphone in it’s A-series. Our sources indicate that, Samsung is going to release this phone in late November of this year. The A-series phones are range of affordable phones for the users, unlike the S series which are on the higher end of price. As Samsung Galaxy A3 is second in a row of three succeeded by A3 and preceeded by A7. Samsung is going to compete with counterparts by stylizing this phone and making it more durable by replacing plastic backs with metal ones. This is to cater to the request by many customers. Though controversies claim it is another iPhone clone, you can check out for yourself if it really is. I’ll call it a clone only if has a bend gate too.
Key Design Feature:
This phone will be Samsung’s metal phone. The metal surround is same color as back panel. It will also be a unibody design, first of the kind by Samsung. It will have two trays for sim cards. It also shows a slim and angular body in leaked photos. Back panel and design are same as Galaxy Alpha but build material is better and thus the price.
Key Screen Feature:
According to speculations, A5 will port a five inch super AMOLED screen with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. It will have a pixel density of 294 ppi which is enough for mid-range phone.
Key Camera Feature:
In the imaging section, A5 is rumored to have a 13 mega pixel camera with face-detection and auto-focus feature. LED flash will help to put reality in the photos. It will come with impressive front camera of 5 mega pixels for video calling your friends and dear ones.
Processor Embedded:
It will be powered by a Qualcomm’s 64 bit, quad – core Snapdragon 410 processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. It will also have an Adreno 306 graphics processor unit.
Key Memory Feature:
It has built in memory of 16 Giga bytes expandable which is more than enough to store all photos, videos and data. 2 Giga bytes of RAM will help you to operate phone flexibly.
Operating System:
It will be based on latest Android kit-kat (v4.4.4). Although Google is launching new android version 4.5 (android L) but we have to wait for that whether there will be an update or not for Samsung galaxy A5.
Battery Support:
Battery is 2300 mAh which will give you battery backup for at least one day.
Other Features:
It also has Bluetooth, touchwiz interface, Wi-Fi, USB feature, dual sim and 4G LTE capability.
Final Conclusion:
It can be said that though this phone is not a high end phone, it is a mid range phone made of premium materials. Looking at the specifications, one can say it has everything a high end phone requires, only cheaper.
There are confusions over area of release of this smartphone as it could be released in China before its launch worldwide to test the popularity of the phone. It may cost around $400. Samsung had lost competition to iPhone 6 with Galaxy note 4 earlier this year, so Galaxy A5 will have to make up for the loss. But Samsung will get competition from Motorola G gen 2, Xiaomi Mi3, Asus Zenfone, Micromax canvas nitro and Karbonn Titanium Octane plus.
