HTC has unveiled its selfie smartphone Desire Eye at global event launch at New York, yesterday. HTC has been a launching a lot of phones this year and has been gathering a lot of appreciation for that. The phone has very good features.
Looks and feel of HTC Desire Eye
Look and feel wise, the HTC Desire Eye is a very premium handset and feels very premium in the hands. The sides of the phone has been given a different color shade to make it look nice and different from the traditional silver color. This also forms and looks like a border on the edges of the phone when seen from front and back. There are no earphones and speaker phone grills as seen in the earlier versions of HTC phones like the HTC One etc. The phone is available in three colors Red, White and Blue. The dimensions are 152 x 74 x 8.5 mm and weighs around 154 g.

The HTC Desire Eye comprises of a 5.2 inch full-HD screen. The screen possesses a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The touchscreen type is a capacitive one. The display possess the Home, Return and Menu buttons.
Hardware and Software Provided
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor which is clocked at 2.3 GHz. The installed RAM in the phone is 2 GB. The Desire Eye gets internal storage capacity of 16 GBs which can be extended up to 128 GB with a micro-SD card. The Desire gets the android version 4.4.2 KitKat and a touch-up of HTC Sense 6 skin. The phone is installed with EYE software which is mainly developed by HTC to enhance the selfie experience.

The HTC Desire Eye is mainly known for its camera. The Desire Eye is also known as the “Selfie monster”. The Desire Eye gets 13 MP Camera with dual LED flash on both the front and rear. The Rear Camera has f/2 aperture lens setup whereas the front one gets f/2.2 aperture lens. The Selfie lovers are going to love this phone. With the EYE software, it has also added features like face tracking, screen share, face fusion, split capture, auto selfie, voice selfie, photo booth and crop me options.

Apart from all these, the phone supports 3G, 2G, Wifi and Bluetooth version 4.0. The phone is missing a HDMI port. The phone is a single sim phone. The Desire Eye is installed with sensors such as Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor and magnetometer. The phone is powered by a 2400 mAh non-removable battery. The HTC Desire Eye is also LTE enabled globally. The Desire EYE is certified by IPX7 which means it can make a water dip of 1 meter for about 30 mins.
