You may need some privacy
or maybe you just want some rest without worrying about your phone and at the same
time you don't want people to think that you are avoiding them by not
picking their calls.
Sometimes, you may want to
complete your work or maybe watch movie and so you want to avoid picking up calls
without letting the caller know about it.
At this point, some of you
might say that I will make my phone unreachable by using simple tricks like putting the phone in
airplane mode or maybe by trying some other tricks but remember you
will also disconnect yourself from
Internet and outgoing calls while applying those tricks.
So if you just want to block incoming calls without losing outgoing call and internet functionality then go on reading this article.
Make your phone Unreachable without Blocking
Outgoing calls and without losing Internet connection
After completely reading
this article you will be able to utilize your phone completely except your
incoming calls. Also this method works for any smartphone platforms like
Android, Windows phone, iPhone, Blackberry, etc.
Below
are the step you need to follow
First
step
is to get missed call alert numbers of your phone operator. But if you are
already using the missed call alert feature then you need to check in the
number in Call Settings > Call forwarding > Call forwarding when not reachable. If you are unable to find the number then contact your network service
provider.
Second step is find the
option “Always forward” or “Call forwarding unconditionally” this
option present at Call settings > Call
forwarding. Select the above option and Enter the missed call alert number
which you get while following First step. As soon as you complete the step and
click ok or Enable, you will get Forwarding indicator or icon in your
notification panel.
After completing above two
step you will not get incoming calls instead you will just get the notifications of who
called you. Also your outgoing calls and internet connection will not be
affected.
You can revert back to
previous setting by following the same steps.
NOTE: Some network
providers provide missed call alert free of cost but some may charge you little amount of
money to provide the service.
Verdict
I have followed the
general steps that means according your platform option name might change but
the basic procedure will remain same.
Essentially what we are
doing is just forwarding our all calls to network operator to get missed call
alert.
If you observe then you
will find some other options in Call forwarding menu, for example, Call
forwarding when busy, Call forwarding when unanswered, etc. you can use these
option to configure the calls according to your needs.
Last but not the least, remember to share
this article with your friends.
