earlier launched Elife S5.5 which barely measured 5.5 mm in thickness. Now
Gionee is set to launch World’s slimmest Smartphone “ Gionee GN9005 ” which
will be a mere 5 mm thick, as certified by TENAA( Chinese certification ). It
would be a lot easier to carry around and flaunt your device. So if you crave
for a handy phone which is simultaneously good in looks, GN9005 is crafted just
for you.
Till
now it was viral that apple will launch the slimmest smartphone but now Chinese
company Gionee’s next flagship Gionee GN9005 is going to be world’s slimmest Smartphone.
It will be just 5 mm thick which is the slimmest till now. Not only that its
weight will be just 94.6 g with 4.8 inches of screen. Other companies also
provide lightweight smartphones but they all come with small screen size.
GN9005 smartphone’s 4.8 inches Amoled screen willsupport 720p of resolution.
This
device will come with slow 1.2 GHz of quad-core processor which is
comparatively very slow to other high end smartphones. 2050 mAh of battery
might help for 1 day backup for normal use. Its full measurements are 139.8 x
67.4 x 5.00 mm.

will provide just 1 GB of RAM whereas high end smartphone devices come with 2
GB of RAM. Also 16 GB of built-in memory will help to store enough data. But
there is one sad news that we don’t see any external memory storage slot.

camera will be there for video calling. Company will not provide the latest

How it is
different from Gionee Elife S5.5:
Though
looking at the specifications one may conclude that GN9005 has pretty decent
features as compared to the high- end ELife 5.5. ELife 5.5 had some flamboyant
features like 5 inch 1080p display, multi-touch, 16 GB internal memory and 2 GB
random access memory, 1.7 octa- core processor, supported by Jelly bean android
OS. In the imaging section, it is equipped with 13 Mp auto-focus camera. It is
priced at around 23k in India. While GN9005 will have less impressive features
owing to the mid-end category, it is not all that disappointing. Besides,
GN9005 will definitely get to brag about the slimmest phone’s tag.

Alcatel
One-touch Idol Ultra gives a tough competition to this phone in terms of features
but GN9005 may come in lower price. So it ends your quest.
The
question that bothers us is whether the phone will be launched worldwide (or will it be restricted to China) and what will be its price if launched in
India.

then we can comment on it. Although by seeing Gionee Elife S5.5 we can assume
that this new smartphone will come in price range of 20000 to 25000 INR.
