The flagship phone of
Samsung Galaxy S5 has been a mega success in the smartphone market. However the
Samsung aficionado are not completely content with this device. The
specifications and design are considered to be only a minor improvement
compared to Galaxy S4.Perhaps to overcome this disappointment Samsung will
bring in some major improvements is the Samsung Galaxy S6.
There has been nothing
definitive as of now but we have information from our sources that Samsung will
practically embed all the high end features into this new flagship and raise
the bar of the international smartphone market. Considering the rising
competition it is facing from companies like HTC, Sony, Apple, and various
Chinese manufacturers it is high time that Samsung should release a smartphone
that re-establishes
The leaks of this smartphone
have already begun to pop up even though the rumoured release date is at least
7 months away. This depicts the rising interest of the public in this
smartphone.
The leaked specifications of Samsung Galaxy S6 are as follows:

- · Sound: 2 front facing speakers of JBL
- · Battery: 3000 mAh Removable battery
- · Metal fronts and sides, back crafted with Polycarbonate
- · On the front a small Solar panel packed with 12 volts inverters

The Samsung Galaxy series has been seeing an
increase in the display size from 4” to the current 5”. Seeing this trend we
can estimate the screen size of Galaxy S6 to be about 5.2-5.3 inches. It is
also rumored to have a screen resolution of 2K which is quite possible as Note
4 and even LG G3 have QHD displays.
Performance:
The phone is rumoured to have aOcta
core processor. It is also likely that it may have a Snapdragon 808/810
processor which will emerge in the market in the early 2015.
Camera:
It may have a camera with 16MP – 18MP
ultra pixel with FHD (1080p) recording. It will also support various features
like autofocus, image stabilisation, etc.
Operating
System:
Samsung has the trend to launch its
flagships with the latest and the best operating systems available. There were
rumours that Samsung might use its very own Tizen OS but we don’t think so.
Samsung will most probably include the Andorid 5.0/6.0 version which will have
many more features to improve user experience and security.
Battery:
The device is most likely
to have a 3500mAh -4000mAh battery which is plenty for a smartphone. Even on a high scale
usage it is sure to last for more than a day.
Other features:
Apart from the
common hardware features Samsung Galaxy S6 will have many other features just
like its predecessors. We are expecting it to have features like finger print
sensor and retina sensors for security. We can also expect it to have heart
rate scanners as well.
The design of
the phone will also be advanced as compared to the previous versions and may
also have metal body rather than plastic.
Release date:
The release
date of the phone is not yet known but deducing from the previous releases by
Samsung we expect it to be launched in the first quarter of the next year
(2015). The phone will surely be built to compete with the Iphone 6 and any
other phone of that class.
Price:
Looking
at the pricing of Samsung Galaxy S5 which is at ~$570 we can predict that the
price of Galaxy S6 will definitely be greater than $600.
CONCLUSION:
Samsung
has definitely faced some competition in the recent years and although it has a
great brand name it may not be just enough to keep it going. Delivering high
end products that catch the heart of the people is a must for Samsung and
Galaxy S6 may just do that.
