to launch a rugged version of its latest flagship, Samsung Galaxy S5 active. It
is mainly designed for outdoor lovers. It is expected to have a higher IP
rating as compared to the already prevalent IP67 rating of Galaxy s5.
Supposedly, it can be immersed in water up to 5 feet for 60 minutes at stretch
and not get damaged.
In
the designing, Samsung has incorporated features like water-proof and dust
resistant body to make it durable. There are three hardware buttons at the
bottom to aid its use in water or while wearing gloves. Corners are reinforced
to make them stronger and provided with bumpers to make it survive any
accidental fall. Back pannel is metal but riveted to make it withstand high
pressures.

Although the above stated features are enough to claim a phone “active”, Samsung Galaxy S5 active has an application “activity zone” specially incorporated in it to attract users with active lifestyles. S health app, flashlight, stopwatch, compass and barometer will ensure interest of outdoor users. S health apps are already available in s5. The hardware button for camera, if pressed for long will launch the camera but if pressed for a shorter duration will launch the “active zone” app. pretty convenient, isn’t it?

phone will be available in limited markets across the world to serve the needs

If
this does not satisfy, you may have to wait for Samsung to launch still other

is working really hard because on the other side Motorola is giving tough
competition by launching Moto G, Moto X, Moto E etc. To overcome Moto products
Samsung is making all range products to impress users.

of this smartphone are pretty impressive. Although absence of fingerprint
scanner may disappoint the users which was the unique feature for Samsung s5.
