HTC
has recently launched its new flagship, HTC Desire 610 which looks quite
similar to HTC One. Many features are also similar. As we all know brands like
Motorola, Samsung and Sony are trying their best to give products of all range.
So to compete with these brands it is necessary for HTC to release all range
products. Recently HTC had launched a high end device HTC One M8 with duo
camera which was appreciated by the users and now HTC is trying to launch its
plastic version without any duo camera. This product will come in the market by
the mid of the June.

It
can also be a tough competitor for Sony Xperia M2, Moto G and Micromax Canvas
Knight. All of them are mid-range products. HTC has provided 4.7 inches of
display with screen resolution of 540x960 pixels which gives better look to the
screen. Front part the smartphone is embedded with dual speakers for better
playback performance. Unlike HTC One M8, HTC Desire 610 has come with matte and
glossy plastic body with dimensions 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6mm. Its weight is slightly
lower compared to the weight of Sony Xperia M2 which is 143.5g. Company has given
various color options like Black, White, Red, Gray, and Green.

Company
has provided 8MP of primary camera with BSI Sensor (video resolution of 3264 x
2448 pixels) to click exceptionally good pictures and 1.3 MP of secondary camera for
video calling. 8 GB of internal memory storage is quite enough for storing the
apps and data. Also expandable storage of 128 GB will attract users wishing to store high memory data. 1 GB of RAM will let you play the high resolution games
without any interruption. It will support 2G/3G/LTE network for high speed internet
surfing.

It
will be based on the latest android OS v4.4 (kit-kat) which will help users to
get latest apps from Google play store. Quad core processor with 1.2 GHz of
clock speed will run application smoothly. But HTC has not provided latest
chipset Qualcomm snapdragon 801. HTC desire 610 will be embedded with Qualcomm
snapdragon 400 chipset. One more negative point is there regarding sensors;
they have provided only accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensor. So
user will miss sensors like compass sensor, gyro sensor etc.
So let’s explore

Pros:
Latest
android OS v4.4 is provided.
Quad
core processor is given.
4.7
inches of screen is quite satisfactory.
1
GB of RAM runs app successfully.
Expandable
memory is up to 128 GB.

Cons:
Gyro
sensor and compass sensor is not given.
Screen
resolution could be increased.
They
could have given 13 MP of primary camera instead of 8 MP camera.
Battery
is only 2040 mAh.
Chipset
is Qualcomm snapdragon 400.
Comparison
with Sony Xperia M2:
Sony
Xperia M2 is dual SIM device whereas HTC Desire 610 is compatible with single
SIM only. Also Sony Xperia M2 runs on Android OS v4.3 jellybean whereas HTC
Desire 610 runs on Android OS v4.4 kit-kat.
Expandable storage of Sony Xperia M2 is 32 GB
but on other hand Desire 610 has up to 128 GB of expandable memory.
Both
have same pixels of primary camera but secondary camera of HTC Desire 610 is
better than Xperia M2. Xperia M2 is compatible with magnetometer sensor and
eCompass sensor but HTC Desire 610 has less of these features. Talking of
battery life, Sony dominates over HTC.
Conclusion:
All
features are good by considering its price. Features could have been made
better to attract the users. Although they are quite sufficient. In my opinion
it can be good smartphone for mid-range users. Now we have choice among Moto G,
Sony Xperia M2 and Micromax Canvas Knight. So you can select your product based
on your brand taste.
