After
getting a good response from users for HTC M8, HTC is now concentrating on
successor model of their phones. A popular twitter spy @LIabTooFeR has revealed
that the butterfly specs are same as the HTC One M8 but instead of metal body
it will be in plastic Glossy Body. Also there is an uncertainty whether it will
be Duo-camera likes HTC One M8 or not. @LIabTooFeR also claims that it will be
launched soon in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other selected Asian markets.
India is not on the list yet. Also for now, it will not set its feet in
developed markets like America, Europe etc.
HTC
Butterfly 2‘s predecessor HTC Butterfly was launched in 2012 and it had quite
good features for users. HTC Butterfly was appreciated by all the users and
market shares of HTC were also increased due to huge demand of HTC butterfly.
Now launching its successor can make them market leader again. Like Motorola, HTC is also concentrating on
all ranges of smartphone. They have launched HTC One M8 as a high end feature
smartphone in first quarter of this year. After that they have released HTC
desire 310 and then HTC desire 210 as low range product.

will not be any ultra-pixel because nowadays smartphone market is more oriented
towards megapixels than ultra-pixels. So the company might be thinking to
attract the users with megapixels. By providing latest Android v4.4.2 (Kit-Kat)
they might steal the heart of users.
HTC
is providing 2 GB of RAM to run applications smoothly without any
interruptions. Also, HTC is giving latest chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. 13
MP is provided for clicking the best pic of your close ones and 5 MP of
secondary camera is given for video call with full clarity. Talking about CPU,
HTC butterfly 2 is compatible with 2.3 GHz of clock speed which runs the
application faster without any lag.

How
Butterfly 2 is different from HTC Butterfly?
First
thing you will notice about these two phones is their camera quality. In HTC
butterfly it was 8 MP of primary camera and 2.1 MP of secondary camera whereas
in HTC butterfly 2 it has increased to 13 MP of primary camera and 5 MP of
secondary camera.
In case of operating system, they have moved to Android v4.4.2 from v4.1.1 (jelly bean). Also, internal memory has been increased to 16 GB from 8 GB which will be a positive point for this phone.
Instead of 1.5 GHz of clock speed the company has provided 2.3 GHz of clock speed.
Conclusion:
No
doubt the successor is always better than predecessor. Likewise HTC has also
tried to make a successful smartphone compared to its previous one. Although,
price of HTC Butterfly 2 is not disclosed yet but by looking at the features we
estimate it to be above 40k INR. Also HTC is getting a tough competition from
Motorola, Google, Samsung, iPhone etc.
So they have to make high end feature devices to compete with them.
