Gionee's announced Elife S5.5 which is 5.5 mm
thick. So, it currently holds the record of world's slimmest smartphone
ever. Now according to our sources it is coming to INDIA on 30th
March; 2014. It’s price was announced earlier in China for $370 or about Rs
23,000 so now it will be interesting to see its price in India.
The
Gionee Elife
S5.5 has a five inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with full HD resolution. It also
comes with Android-based Amigo OS which is a customized version of Android. There
is only a home screen whereas in android user interface there is a home screen
and menu screen.
The Gionee Elife S5.5 had
an octa-core 1.7 GHz processor
and 2 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB internal storage and do not have any micro SD
card slot.
The smartphone has a good
looking 13 megapixel rear camera
and a 5 megapixel front camera. There is a 2,300 mAh non-removable battery in
the mobile. For connectivity, this 3G smartphone
(42 Mbps download speed) comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi
and a micro USB port which enable users to directly connect it with an external
storage device like a pen drive.
