Lenovo is
a Chinese multinational company with its main office at Beijing, China. It is
founded in 1984 as Legend but it renamed to Lenovo in 2004. Lenovo name comes
from two words Le and novo. Le means Legend and novo means new. Hence it refers
to ‘New Legend’. It was started by ten engineers. Till now he purchased or
joined with IBM’s personal computer division, NEC a Japanese company, Medion,
CCE, etc. So I hope till now you also
found its reliability.
I am very sure you will like their products. So today we
are bringing you the World's first multimode ultra book. It supports four
operation modes Notebook, Stand, Tent and Tablet. Every 90 degree turn of the
screen gives it a new identity!
So let me
show you in how many directions you can turn your screen to make it a Notebook,
Stand, Tent or Tablet.
Lenovo Idea Pad 13 at 90 Degree turn:
Yoga 13
is in Notebook mode, as a normal notebook you can work with Keyboard and
Touch pad moreover with yoga 13 you get touch screen as an input device too! This
mode is useful for any task you would feel notebook useful for like Photoshop,
spreadsheets, gaming, web browsing etc.
Lenovo
Idea Pad 13 at 180 Degree turn:
Yoga 13 is in Stand mode
now, with keyboard and touch pad facing the desk, so they become inactive and
the only input now you have is touchscreen. This orientation is ideal for
watching a movie or making a Video Call reason being you can adjust screen to
get the best viewing angle for you and for the other end of call respectively.
Take caution and don’t operate Yoga 13 on wet, stick or dusty surface in
Stand mode, since track pad keyboard is facing the desk.
Lenovo Idea Pad 13 at 270 Degree turn:
Yoga 13
is in Tent mode now, with the keyboard and track pad being on the opposite side
of the screen. This orientation is best for those who learn from YouTube
Videos, this orientation helps them to play the video and place it on desk and
perform simultaneously. Or mothers may find it useful as they can read recipes
and cook simultaneously. Or you can use it as a nice, fancy Digital Photo
Frame. The screen is not very steady in this position, but its fine for normal
functioning.
Lenovo Idea Pad 13 at 360 Degree turn:
Yoga 13
now turns into tablet mode with keyboard and track pad facing your lap. This
machine cannot be help with one hand and this is obvious 13.3 inch screen can’t
be expected to be light. This mode is capable of performing all the operation
that a tablet is supposed to do, from email to web browsing and from Games to
Reading, this beast does everything well.
Trouble Shooting
New users
may face problem of Touch pad lag and WiFi issues but they can be fixed within
no time.
For
touch pad simply update the drivers and you are good to go.

Keyboard and Touch pad
Concave
keys are very comfortable and ergonomic to use. The touch pad have a glassy
finish and don’t have raised left and right clicks. The palm rest is great too,
it neither get Hot nor cool up thus adding to the experience. It doesn’t have a
back lit keyboard and for me it does not seem to be a deal breaker because in a
dark room screen brightness light up the keys.
Battery
It gives
decent 5 hrs. Battery life with 65% brightness. And silent work experience,
with less heat dissipation (except when heavy gaming or using Photoshop).

Final Conclusion
In my
opinion this is a complete solution for all our computing need, thanks to
different orientations. This device kick started the new form factor of laptops
and I really appreciate that. Yes I do agree it have some lags while using
touchscreen, but this is acceptable for the first in line laptop and hopefully
will be improved with passage of time.
What I
really like is 3 sec wake up time and just 7 sec booting time, this is pretty
amazing besides the extra SSD slot. Over all I like this device and there is
nothing deal breaker in this model. But if you are still not satisfied then you
can wait for the improved version of Yoga 13 expected in near future.
Please
comment below which orientation you liked the most and maybe we could help you
more!
