ISRO MARS MISSION 2013

ISRO has launched a spaceship to the Mars. It is one of the biggest achievements for ISRO as well as for the entire country. Till now there are only few countries to have this achievement. In this I will try to give you the initial information of the ISRO’s Mars mission. In my upcoming articles you will be able to know more and more about this mission.

WHY MARS:

Among all the planets of the solar system, Mars is the one which attracted the scientists and humans most attention as well as interest. The main reason for this is that the environment conditions are somehow very similar to that of Earth. For ages, humans have been dreaming about the life on Mars. However, the question that is still not answered is weather Mars has an environment or not and even if it has then weather life can evolve and sustain their or not.

Space organizations of different countries are planning to find the answers to these questions and they want it very soon. So, many countries are planning to send their spacecraft’s on Mars. The major organizations in this field are NASA of USA, ISRO of INDIA,

OBJECTIVES

The main objective is to design the technology is to design and develop the plan for the interplanetary mission which includes habitation on the MARS.

Technical Objective:

1.       Design and realization of mars orbit. If everything will go as planned then ISRO will be the first organization on this planet to give the exact design and structure of MARS’s orbits. The Mangalyaan will take 300 days to get the exact structure of these orbits.
2.      ISRO is trying to develop deep space communication, navigation, mission planning and management.

Scientific Objectives:

Exploration of:
1.       Mars surface features.
2.      Morphology of MARS.
3.      Mineralogy of the red planet.
4.      Martian atmosphere.

According to some scientists and astronauts ISRO’s mars mission is not only cheaper than the NASA’s mars mission but it will be more effective also. As far as price is concerned ISRO’s scientists took only the one-tenth of the money that was invested by NASA.
